Do you use blacklists, whitelists, or agents to find safe China teaching jobs?

I used to rely on agents, then after getting cheated out of 12,000 yuan, I switched to checking blacklists (where surprise, surprise... I found my former agent!) But these days I just cut to the chase and use white lists so I know the employers are legit, and allowed to hire expats, and they have a track record of paying teachers on time without playing visa or overtime scheduling games! http://www.chinaforeignteachersunion.co ... reign.html

I have had good luck with TEFL.net ads so far (knock on wood!). As it turned out the last two job offers I took were on the white-list and I was able to negotiate much better than average salary. I would never use an agent again as long as I live. I had one horrible experience with a Chinglish agent - I learned my lesson.
