Re: DOS and administrator courses
Thank you, this is (once again) very helpful. I agree that ROI on something like the Delta does not look promising. I was actually thinking of the more modest 1-week course offered by International House. As a relatively experienced teacher I would hope that I have most of the knowledge needed for a...

DOS and administrator courses
I have seen a number of courses for training Directors of Studies and language school administrators, and was wondering if anybody can give me some idea of how they are regarded and how useful they are for people who are going to fill these positions. I am thinking in particular of the courses offer...

Re: Comparison among CELTA programs
I would also be interested in the answer to the first of these questions, especially as regards Europe (and the UK). Particular locations that interest me for various reasons are London, Hamburg, Moscow, Bucharest, Thessaloniki and Tbilisi. Feedback on providers in any of these places, good or bad, ...

You provide a lot of useful advice on starting and running a language school, and I am grateful to you for shar...

EFL startup costs in different countries
I would be grateful for a rough idea of how much capital you need to start a small English school in different parts of the world where members have experience (e.g. Western Europe, Eastern Europe, S.E. Asia, Latin America).

Re: What is meant by "intermediate" etc??
Personally I find it quite useful to refer to this comparative table of proficiency levels according to different institutions (in the UK and Europe): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Association_of_Language_Testers_in_Europe If I understand correctly, Intermediate corresponds to Level 2 or B1 (and Uppe...

Re: Stative Verbs
I would say this is a different meaning of "have" - not possession of something, but (in combination with its object) enjoying yourself. Enjoying yourself is certainly not stative. ;)
