Hi There,
I'm currently setting up conversation class groups at intermediate level for adults and would like to know if anyone has a syllabus or class plan that they could share with me.
I've done one-to-one conversation classes on a more informal basis previously, but would now like to take this to the next level on a more structured basis.
There's a wealth of ideas for one-off conversation class lessons available, but I need some type of superstructure.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Elizabeth

Re: Conversation class topic syllabus
Check out Catalyst: A Conversation Taskbook for English Language Learners. It's completely self-contained with lesson plans, targets, review, assessment and a topic creation mechanism built in. Topics are relevant because they are created by the students themselves. Students are trained to respond spontaneously and will be conversing in a matter of seconds, sidestepping that messy little dance that instructors and students of such classes typically engage in while attempting to negotiate a topic for the day. Instructors will actually have very little prep to do beyond understanding the lesson du jour.
