Re: TEFL Lab?

Provided they offer a genuine Trinity CertTESOL course you can't really go wrong.

See the Teflnet FAQ on Cambridge CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, SIT TESOL Certificate.

Re: Tense Examples

The "be careful!" may be a not-so-subtle reminder that technically there is no such thing as "future tense" in English (hence the reference to the "future forms" in Q2-4)...

Hi Rusmeister: it's a good question and as Susan suggests it's absolutely ok to discuss the "philosophy of teaching". That's what these forums are for :)

Re: CELTA HELPA!

#2 (and possibly #1) is answered at the below FAQ:
http://www.tefl.net/tefl-courses/faq-te ... .htm#celta

Is there any benefit to choosing a particular school for my CELTA?
No. The CELTA is incredibly standardised, so you may as well choose by price and location.

Re: TEFL course, help with stress patterns.

But Heather and Marilyn don't have the same number of syllables. So there should be no confusion there at all. Marilyn and Susanna do have the same number of syllables, but in Susanna the stress is on syllable 2. Hope this helps a little.

Re: Which TESOL course in London?

Hi Stretch: There is little to choose between a CELTA and a CertTESOL - they are both excellent courses. You may like to look at the FAQ below which, among other things, explains why you might choose one over the other. You can also find answers about other TEFL courses from the same page. Cambridge...

You can also find CELTA courses worldwide through the official Cambridge ESOL CELTA centre finder at:
http://cambridgeesol-centres.org/centre ... g/index.do

The following two directories also list TEFL courses in Paris:

Re: CELTA China

I understand that you want to teach in China, but is there any special reason you want to do a TEFL course in China? There need be no correlation between where you do a course and where you teach. CELTA courses are accepted worldwide.

Cambridge ESOL currently shows two CELTA centres in China.

Re: ENOUGH confusion

Hi chrisc, Yes, you are right: sleep is in the first sentence a verb and in the second a noun. Think of the part of speech that "enough" is modifying in your sentences. In the first it's modifying a verb and "enough" is functioning as an adverb. Adverbs generally come after the v...

Re: doubt on 'going to go'

It is absolutely correct and normal usage to use: - going to come - going to go Here are a few example sentences: - Are you going to come late again? - The water's not going to come this way. - I'm going to go as soon as Mary comes. - We're going to go by train. (We're gonna go by train.) Yes, somet...
