What is PPP?

I'm just starting out teaching and have been reading about PPP.

I've read that it's presentation, practice, production.

Can anybody tell me more about it?

thanks in advance

hi Andrew,

I trained with International House and thought they were great.

Very professional, sessions led by big names, such as Peta Grey, Adrian Underhill, Jim Scrivener.

They're international so you might find something near you.

Pronunciation of "h" and "th"

Hi everybody,

I'm a new teacher in France and my students don't pronounce the "h" at the beginning of words and can't say "th".

Does anybody know how I can help them?

How do I deal with pronunciation?

Dear Lucy,

I'm a new teacher without any teaching qualifications. I teach private students individually.

Can you tell me how to teach pronunciation? My students can't produce some of the sounds in English. I really don't know what to do.

Thanks

How do I teach vocabulary to beginners without translating?

Dear Auntie Lucy,

I am quite new to teaching. I started out a few months ago with private students and have just got my first job with a school.

They are telling me I have to teach everything all in English. How do I teach vocabulary to beginners without translating?

Thank you for your help.

What can I do with my new private students?

Dear Auntie Lucy,

I have recently moved to France as I want to start a new career in TEFL. I have put up some ads to get private students and am beginning to panic about how to handle the classes. Please help me.
