Re: What rights do foreign TEFL & ESL teachers have in China

Your lawyer friend knows what he is talking about. Ms. Zhang at SAFEA in Beijing confirms that we now have all the same rights as Chinese executives so long as we have a Z visa and FEC. No Z visa = No Rights. There are 15 rights we have altogether. Here you go, my Christmas gift to all of my fellow ...

Agreed with what you guys say, but i think it is also important to know that how and where you find you China teaching job will affect your earnings - and losses. This is what I am talking about: http://www.realscam.com/f8/echinacities-com-helping-identity-thieves-scam-china-foreign-teachers-job-ads...

Nathan is right Vincent. This guy is blowing smoke up your butt with stuff you didn't ask for and refusing to give you what you need. If I was you, I would have already lined out his name on my list. Did you see this? http://www.chinaforeignteachersunion.org/2012/12/china-foreign-teachers-union-post...

Re: Buckland group

Hi Vincent - First don't get too excited nor worried. Just remember that recruiters and schools are only going to disclose what they want and need you to know. You need FULL disclosure from them in this regard the only way to get it is to send them the CFTU "Agent Reply Form Letter" which ...

China Authorities Blacklisting Teachers With Fake Diplomas!

Well about another 5,000 foreign teachers are about to be canned. I cut and pasted the below from the CFTU website... "The CFTU has just recently been "advised" and provided a copy of a memo from SAFEA to the Minister of Education (dated January 3rd, 2014) suggesting that all schools ...

The below is a direct quote from http://chinascampatrol.wordpress.com "Would you tell a lie to a total stranger for $300? How about $1,000? Okay, so remember this the next time some smooth talking yahoo is sending you emails or calling you on Skype telling you that he/she has “a great job for y...

Can you tell us the full legal names of all the owners Derrick? If you are correct I will support you. But I just found this on the internet and I have my doubts about what you say here.

OMG! If you think one agent cannot cause a lot of grief you are super naive. This just hit my RSS feed and is a perfect example of what I mean: http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?t=609652 One scammer has been operating under seven different names for the last 8 years to stay one step ahead of the la...

China Foreign Teachers - Where Is The Best City To Work?

Like most others I always assumed it would be Shanghai or Beijing. So I was shocked when I saw that 2,000 current foreign teachers in China didn't rate either city in the top five "best China city to work and live" and they barely made the top ten. Surprisingly Hangzhou and other water-fro...

Make Google your friend amigo. That company name is blacklisted in a few places including the CFTU and old CTA list. Suggest you visit this link and read up a bit. Re: WARNING: Interlink jobs in Saudi Arabia

Beware, this company now has agents in Beijing ("Peter") and in Shanghai ("Joanne") who are recruiting teachers for this "questionable" operation. They are doing their interviews in the coffee shops of the Crowne Plaza Hotel. They say they are only here for 10 days. Wat...

Re: Is Angelina's ESL Cafe A Scam Or Legit?

I tried to use them but they keep changing the jobs too often. When I applied and interviewed for job "A" which paid 12,500 yuan per month, they told me it was "already filled" and tried really hard to push me to accept job "B" which paid 7,000 yuan per month as a "...

Re: Is it safe to work as Foreign Teacher in China?

I think the OP is overly optimistic and may be promoting China in the shoes of a recruiter. Crime-wise China is safer than America or London. There are no street muggings or rapes, or murders, but every foreigner will eventually be swindled by an agent or a school, and have their bicycle and iphone ...

DIY... Check out an agent or recruiter in only 2 hours...

I agree - if anyone tells you to come to work in China on anything other than a "Z" visa - say good-bye. They are NOT to be trusted.

Yes, but frankly I am not impressed. I did not learn anything new that I did not already find here on this forum and others. I suggest you don't waste your money.
