The situation in Taiwan sounds "too good to be true". How well do you know these "friends"? Please do come back and tell us about it if you go -- or if you go somewhere else!

Are ALL CELTA courses run through Cambridge
Hello Friends! I have just gone through the ENTIRE Cambridge list of CELTA course sites without finding what I need. Still I see other places listed in Cactus. Are ALL real CELTA courses run through Cambridge or are there other licensors? If there are others, are there "good" and "bad...

Re: Part-time CELTA (have you taken or researched it)?
Alex -- Why are full time courses "much better"? That doesn't make any sense. Same teachers, same experience, more time to absorb it. Is that your opinion or is it based on something concrete?
I'm going to try to PM you if I can figure out how lol.

Re: Part-time CELTA (have you taken or researched it)?
Thanks so much for the response! It's extremely slow and painstaking to try to find part-time courses, but I have now gone through the entire Cambridge site. I still need to contact a few places in South America, but otherwise the only appropriate course I've found is in Madrid. Possibly in South Af...

Difference among courses?
How important is the particular organization with whom one takes the course? Is it more important to take a course where you would like to teach, or in a "good" organization. And which, please are the good ones. IH? Cambridge? British Council? Is Southern Cross any good? Many thanks, CS

Part-time CELTA (have you taken or researched it)?
Has anyone taken or researched CELTA part-time courses? They seem to be very difficult to find, and rarely offered. I do not care WHERE I take it, as long as it isn't Korea, Japan (allergic to fish lol), or an English speaking country (ability to get a job). I want to find one that works with my sch...

Re: CELTA training centers: does it or doesn't it matter?
Hi! There are courses that I have found, so far, from 6 weeks (but only about once a year, and I just missed it), to 12 weeks and six months. But the only list is by no means complete ( a blog: Teaching-English-to-adults) And evven there you have to click on the individual website and then scan it t...

CELTA training centers: does it or doesn't it matter?
Hello All, I have just read through several threads and some FAQs. All seem to agree that it doesn't matter where you get your CELTA as the education is standardized. BUT they ALSO agree that you should go to a center that is well known and with a good reputation. The latter makes more sense to me, ...
