I'm researching new tech tools to include in my teaching that I haven't tried yet. Specifically, I'm interested in Nearpod and Pear Deck due to their integration with Google Slides. Could you share your experiences with these tools?

These two applications are also relatively similar. I often use it to make small quizzes for my students

As far as I know, Nearpod is a very useful tool for teachers. Whether in or out of the classroom, students can take advantage of Nearpod's live, self-paced learning experiences that combine formative assessment with dynamic media.
Instructors have the option to either import their own materials or select from a library of thousands of subject-specific K-12 lessons.

When it comes to choosing between Nearpod and Pear Deck, both have their strengths, particularly in their seamless integration with Google Slides, which makes them excellent for interactive lessons.
Nearpod offers a wide array of features such as virtual reality experiences, interactive videos, and a comprehensive library of pre-made lessons. Its real-time formative assessment tools allow for immediate feedback, which is valuable for adjusting instruction on the fly.
Pear Deck, on the other hand, excels in simplicity and ease of use. Its focus is on student engagement through interactive slides, with tools like draggable responses, drawing, and quick formative assessments. It also offers a "Student-Paced" mode, which is great for asynchronous learning.

In my experience, if you're looking for a tool with a broad range of features and pre-made content, Nearpod might be the better choice. However, if you prefer a straightforward, easy-to-implement solution focused on live student interaction, Pear Deck could be more suitable. Both tools can significantly enhance student engagement and provide valuable insights into their learning process.
