Teaching at Sabis in the UAE

Unread post by KarenPat »

Hi there,

I am a new teacher and would like to find out if anyone has any experience in teaching at the Sabis school in the UAE. I do not want to make a mistake and take a job that is so far without the correct information.

While I haven’t taught at Sabis in the UAE, I’ve come across some common points. The system is highly structured with set lesson plans, which limit flexibility. Teachers often mention a heavy workload and a strong focus on discipline and performance tracking. Initial training is usually provided, but creativity in teaching can be restricted

I haven’t worked at Sabis personally, but I did move to the UAE for a teaching post a while back, and the relocation side alone can be overwhelming. If you do go for it, check out this website, they handle international moves, shipping, customs, the whole lot. Doesn’t answer the job side, but it takes one big stress off the plate.
