How long does a typical TEFL certification course take? Are they intensive or can they be spread out?

Most 120-hour TEFL courses take about 4 to 12 weeks to complete, depending on whether they are taken full-time or part-time. Intensive courses can be completed in a few weeks.

I did mine in ThaiIand many years ago, but it probably hasn’t changed. One week full time with a warning that if you didn’t have a degree you probably wouldn’t get hired and on condition you did three months voluntary teaching after the course before the certificate was issued.
