Job seeking over 60

Unread post by John V55 »

So that’s it then, all good things come to an end and the government has finally ended its contract with my employer company. At the grand old age of 62 and still going strong, the countdown to job seeking begins, before my residency visa runs out early in the new year.

There are parts of China, away from the first tier cities and backpacking fraternity, where visas are extended as long as the medicals come back A1. However, actually seeking work over 60 anywhere is a daunting task. Happy, happy kindergarten, "energetic, fun loving individual, 26 entertainment classes a week, plus office hours ..." doesn’t appeal. :) Let’s see if degrees and experience trump age. Putting theory into practice, public university or High School. 3.2.1 … the countdown begins. :)
