143 China Foreign Teachers Arrested For Fake TEFL Certificates

According to BTV News the total number of foreign teachers arrested for fake TEFL certificates during the month of April was 329 - nation wide across China- all caught by random school checks of teacher credentials. The cop in the video is pretty funny, because he talks like he tracking down dangerous killers or something and pledges "In Spetember we will start checking every school in Beijing and Shanghai." The reporter suggested that if 329 fake fake certificates were found randomly, over 10,000 teachers would "probably" be arrested if every school was checked. Another 620 foreign teachers were arrested for fake diplomas and police certificates and 812 for no, or illegal Z visas.
