creative game for ABC

Unread post by YasmineH »

Hi everybody,

I am teaching the ABC to a 4th grader (non reader).
I wanted to know if anyone have any idea for games or special technique for teaching the ABC or even good websites with creative ideas...

thanks! :)
Yasmine.

have the same problem.
I teach third graders and they get very bored with just saying the letters and the words. It's really hard keeping them focused during the lesson.

I'm actually thinking about asking the pupils if they ideas how to make if more fun, maybe they'll have good ideas.
you should try that to.

have a great week,

I have just discussed your problem with my cousin who is a preschool teacher. She suggested to use few gaming apps to let kids enjoy while learning. And also has suggest to hold some maths fun games in class.

Learning through games is the way to go when teaching kids. Great idea to spread.

I have created some useful board games for my grade 3 students to learn and these games are also suitable for beginners. For example, this board game worked very well in my class yesterday: https://www.facebook.com/moji2day/photo ... =3&theater

I will let my students do letter imagination. I also make some by myself and put them in the classroom learning corners. Click the link for the pictures.

Memory style matching games are easy to make and fun to use. Even older ESL students will be challenged as they review letters of the alphabet while putting their memories to the test. To make a game like this, you can make a set of matching cards using index cards.

So, Equipment Used in the Game of Cricket, the game of cricket relies on a bat, a ball, and wickets. The bat is typically made of wood, with a handle and a blade used for hitting the ball. The ball is hard, usually made of leather, and stitched to provide grip. The wickets consist of three stumps and two bails that are placed at each end of the pitch. Other gear used in cricket includes gloves, pads, helmet, and protective gear to ensure player safety.
