So I was working on a project dealing with modal verbs and came across the snippet "it might be."

So I know that "be" is an auxiliary verb in this case, but what if the sentence is changed to "it might arrive" or "it might end?"

Is there a better overall label for the verb "x" in the sentence "it might x?"

Thanks for your thoughts!
He is working. The verb is (be) is an auxiliary verb and work(ing) is the main verb.

He is at home. The verb is (be) is the main verb.

He might work. The verb might is an auxiliary and work is the main verb.

It might be. The verb might is auxiliary and be is the main verb.
