Grammar is a complex topic.
Can you please advise me how to teach grammar in a clear and interesting way? for example the past tenses.
I tried to incorporate computer games but the students do it in the classroom only. I want the students want to practice in their own homes alone.
How to make grammar fun?

thanks, Oriya.

How to make grammar fun.. that's a tough one..
use games that they can play together. give them an assignment to create a game related to subject, maybe they'll have great ideas that they can share with the rest of the class.

I hope that was helpful,

Shirley

There is a good book "Teaching Grammar Creativly" by Herbert Puchta, G√ľnter Gerngross, Scott Thornbury. It aims to stimulate students' imagination, humour and creativity and increase the effectiveness of grammar practice. The book offers more than 50 complete lessons covering a wide range of grammar structures, learner levels, and age groups. Each lesson is divided into two main sections: Language Awareness Activities and Creative Grammar Practice.
