This is Waylon from France, now i am trying to relocate to China,it seems teaching a language is the best way to stay in China for a long period, but French teaching isn't that popular,English is the priority for us,but i have applied to many schools, and haven't got positive result. What should i do next,am i just going to quit?

It's not so much the schools as the government, and that is because they have rules regarding work permits/visas. As I understand it, the government rules may vary from state to state or province to province (ie local government rules too), but in general, the government requires English teachers to be from one of these English-speaking countries (and the don't include Malta btw):
UK
USA
Canada
Australia
Ireland
South Africa

It seems that sometimes exceptions are made for English teachers from non-native English countries if they have studied at university in one of the above countries and/or can demonstrate more than two/three years (?? not sure of the exact time) of real experience teaching English. But I'm not sure if these exceptions are because of the local variations mentioned above or because some school has found a way to flout the system.

Perhaps someone else with direct knowledge of China can answer further.

No “impossible”,which should be divided to “i'm possible”.What you mentioned is not a big deal, where there is a will, there is a way.
If you want to work in China, university degree is a must, secondly your English level should be fair enough to teach kids.So if you have two elements above, you do have a great chance to working in China legally.
If you have them above, but you are not native English speaker, then the problem is where to find the right position with the limit, that's quite important.
You can try to find one through telf.net
Or you can try to find help from a Chinese schools association like www.teacherrecord.com
you can tell them your exact demands, they will use their matching system to get you more applicable Chinese schools/positions
English is the bridge to connect the world, the internet has made the world a global village,Teacher Record is using English and internet to help teachers and schools find each other and work together to make a better global village.Online schools&Domestic schools are available. For further information, please visit https://www.teacherrecord.com/job
