Any Ideas?

Unread post by Ultramomo »

Good afternoon to everyone!

I have a PGCE that let's me teach in a highschool. I'm looking for some advice about which course to do for teaching in English in Asia. Currently deciding between these countries Taiwan and China. I'm a native English speaker from South Africa.

I'm not keen on the i-to-i tefl course. There is also a Celta being offered at a local language school but it's way over my budget. It costs almost 20k. Groupon doesn't operate in my country.

I agree with you in regard to i-to-i. They are obsessed with terminology- don't cover anything beyond meanings. They are obsessed with essays being 1000 words long. Some courses- Early Childrhood- are good because they have interesting assignment and good tutors but the main course and many courses are so useless.
