The TEFL Help Desk is a forum where you can get replies to your questions from Lucy Pollard. The other forums on are “open” which means that if you post a question there, any of our users can answer your questions.

To ask Lucy a question, simply go to the TEFL Help Desk forum and click on "new topic", write your question and click on submit.

Please try to be specific in your questions to Lucy. For example, the age of your students, their level, whether you are teaching as part of a school or independently. The more specific you are in your questions, the more help you will get.

Lucy Pollard has worked as a teacher, teacher trainer, writer of articles and Director of Studies for over 20 years. Her experience is varied: adults, English for specific purposes and English for academic purposes as well as teenagers and young children. She has worked with multi-lingual classes in the UK and for the British Council in various countries including Turkey, France, Spain and Poland. She has the UCLES Diploma in TEFL, the Certificate in TEFL from the University of London, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and the Diploma in Life Coaching.

Lucy is passionate about teaching and learning and has shared her knowledge with students, teachers and colleagues for many years. She is the author of Lucy Pollard's Guide to Teaching English.
