In some countries yes. In others no. Third world countries like Haiti, Bolivia, Senegal, etc. will accept anyone from 21 years on up so long as you are fit and have all your mental faculties and teach a productive class schedule without "medical disruptions".

But having said that, most Asian countries PREFER young and energetic teachers under 40, but universities will accept qualified teachers and professors up to age 60 if your health is good, and your demo classes are even better. My former roomie teaches TOEFL and IELTS classes at a top 20 university in China (Minzu) and he is 58 years old. He earns 17,000 rmb monthly from the university but gets a free furnished apartment and a cafeteria card (free meals). His lifestyle is laid-back so he is happy.
