For general discussion between teachers
Hi, I have been teaching for around 20 years and am currently working as a Dos in Spain. I have tried numerous ways of trying to encourage my students to record new vocabulary effectively, with varying degrees of success. What I would like to know is how many of you agree that this is a problem? Am I being unrealistic to expect teenagers to assiduously note down and organise new vocabulary? And as teachers, how do you manage new vocabulary that has built up over the year for review? I ask, not only out of genuine interest, but also because I am trying to work on a solution with a developer to this problem (if indeed it is considered a problem). It would be wonderful to hear your views.
