New teacher planning help for interview

Unread post by CGMO » 16 Sep 2020, 07:31

Hi everyone,

I have recently completed my TEFL cert and have been applying for jobs. I managed to get an interview with a small school and I think it went well. They have asked me to produce 4 lesson plans as a next stage. As I am new, I lack the experience of producing solid plans, and I really want this job. Could anyone give me some pointers or guide me to some relevent resources?

The topics I need to cover are:
  • 11 x 7yr olds 1 hour face to face class. The monthly theme is CITY vs COUNTRYSIDE. The language content to be worked would be CITY and the grammar PAST SIMPLE.
  • 6 x 7yr olds 1 hour face to face class. The monthly theme is ON THE FARM. The language content to be worked would be ANIMALS and the PRESENT CONTINUOUS.
  • 6 x 9yr olds 1 hour online class. The monthly theme is HEALTH. The language content to be worked would be BODY and the grammar ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY.
  • 6 x adults B1 1.5 hour online class. The topic to be worked would be TRAVEL.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

C
