CV tailored for each vacancy?

Unread post by MarekMericko »

Hello. Do you write CV exactly according to job requirements of school, i.e 100 applications = 100 tailored cvs or do you send one cv for all quite similar posts? What is your experience with it?

Really it's up to you. As long as your CV/resume doesn't become "fake" in the process it makes sense to tailor it to the position within reason. That would be putting your best foot forward for the job in question. If you're making 100 applications then that might be impracticable, or certainly a fair amount of work. But you might still tailor them in "batches" of job type if that works. Just don't end up with fake CVs.

Btw, I would never advise tailoring it EXACTLY. Just sensibly.
