Is 57 too old to be accepted in China ?

Unread post by Thorium »

Hello folks,
I'm 57 in a few months. Before doing other research on TEFL possibilities in China, I'd like some feedback on whether I'm wasting my time, bearing in mind my age. I have a BSc and PGCE, and have taught maths in English secondary schools.

Working in a university appeals to me...

Thanks ;-)

Bit late I know but may be useful for someone else. I think 57 is tight, but I recently saw a job ad for China and I distinctly remember the age limit was 60. Sorry, can't remember where I saw it though. Somewhere on Teflnet I think.

Up to the age of 59 no problem. With a PGCE you’ll go in at the top end in China.
