which tefl???

Unread post by loui_baldwin »

Hello there!!!
I'm looking to go travelling to various countries from Peru to Vietnam and have been considering the option to teach English, to fund myself around the globe. The trouble is, that I have absolutely no idea what kind of tefl course would be suitable for my needs. I'm currently working at a school as a PPA teacher so I have quite a lot of experience in teaching, but I have no formal qualification. I do, however, possess a BA in drama, and have over two years experience in working with children within the primary sector.
Unfortunately, my funds are rather low so a cheaper tefl option would be preferable. What do you think are my best options for acquiring a tefl qualification that could see me through, where ever I may end up?
Kindest regards,
Loui Baldwin

Hello Loui,
I recommend coming to Prague, Czech Republic. There are seven decent TEFL courses. The tuition is around1 200 euros (1600 US dollars), accommodation around 350 euros (480 dollars).
Best,
Martin
