How to teach difficult vocab and make it interesting?

The situation: I have a class in the school I work who are all at different levels (which I wrote more about here). This year they have gone up to the advanced book and it is proving very difficult for some of them. One of my main problems with this book (Cutting Edge Advanced) is that it handles wh...

Re: Urgent Help Needed!

I have quite a few friends working in Vigo, Spain, and a lot of them work on a summer course for July with kids - try my friend Ed, he's probably gonna be working there this year - he's his contact info - http://www.omniprof.ning.com/profile/edward

Have you had any luck yet?

Cheers

Finding EFL teachers who have been there before

Hi there- I thought I would post this as, being an EFL teacher with 4 years experience in 3 different countries I have often tried to guess what the life of a teacher is like in a certain destination as the specifics of an EFL career are quite different to most. A friend recently set up a site speci...

People see the 'EF' logo and think it's an assurance of quality - it's not! What exactly did you hear? And have y...

E-communication - a real company or a scam?

Hi there - I would like to ask if anyone knows anything about this 'online company' as I have recently been in contact with them and had an 'interview'. I had told them in an email previously that I was based in Indonesia & was looking for work online. They didn't mention this beforehand and seemed ...

Re: Help! How to deal with an arrogant ESL class?

I just don't have time to prepare something special for them all the time and, to add to the joys of teaching this lot, I am being o...
