THE KENT INSTITUTE is recruiting a qualified experienced EFL teacher with an outgoing personality, interested in working in a professional and friendly atmosphere for the current academic year, from January to June 2018. Applicants should have a sincere desire to improve their teaching skills by working in a sharing and learning environment. The vacancy is from Monday to Friday evenings and Thursday mornings, teaching teenagers, young adults and adults up to C1 level.
THE KENT INSTITUTE is situated near the University area and has two centres close by, in Avenida Blasco Ibáñez, one of the main avenues in Valencia. It has established a reputation as a top quality private language school in Valencia which provides high teaching standards along with a friendly working atmosphere in the classroom and among staff, since 1994. We teach English to young learners, teenagers and adults of all levels. Our students are strictly classified according age and level with the vast majority of them staying in the school for many years. In an international environment which places more and more emphasis on communication in spoken English, as a Cambridge Examinations Preparation Centre, we recognise the need for students to speak English for their studies and their future careers at home and overseas.

Lessons are aimed to encourage students to improve the four basic language skills: listening; speaking; reading; and writing with a strong emphasis on communication. Typical tasks that should be carried out include:

• preparing and presenting lesson plans in the weekly teacher´ s meeting;
• classroom management;
• preparing and setting examination papers;
• marking and providing appropriate feedback on written exams;
• preparing students for Cambridge Examinations;

We require:
 Native or bilingual speakers with high proficiency in the use of the English language.
 a certificate level TEFL qualification (CELTA or Cert. TESOL)
 education to degree level or equivalent qualification
 at least two years' post EFL qualification fulltime relevant TEFL experience . Please include details of contact information for up to two professional referees, including your current or most recent employer.

 Experience in Cambridge English Exams preparation.
As well as having a good command of Spanish and the relevant qualifications, candidates will need to show evidence of the following:
