TP Worksheet – Oil

A lesson on Oil and associated words and phrases (e.g oil spill). Students discuss questions such as “What can be done to discourage people from relying so much on fossil fuels like petroleum?” in a fluency activity before moving on to discover expressions and idioms connected with the words “oil” and “grease”. For example, “to burn the midnight oil” and “greased lightning”. Further opportunities for fluency practice are  provided with stimulating questions such as “Do you think off-shore drilling should be banned?”
