The School:
The school is in a beautiful medieval town close to Venice. It is the most established school in the area and has been operating for more than 45 years. There are around 250 students, both adults and young learners, plus external contracts with state schools, banks and companies. The school is part of a franchise that runs the Cambridge Exams in the area and we also have accreditation from the Ministry of Education, meaning our certificates are recognised in Italy. We are exempt from VAT.

We run General English courses for all levels, including all Cambridge Main suite and Young Learner Exams, and also Business English and Private one-to-one classes.

The school is in rented premises, with options to extend the contract already in place if a new owner wishes to continue in this location. There are 6 classrooms, a teachers’ room, an office and a large reception area. The school is fully equipped, with new furniture in all the classrooms.

Although the school is growing, it still maintains a small-school feel and there is a friendly atmosphere between students and staff, with parties, pizza nights and trips abroad organised regularly.

The Students:
The school is placed at the high-end of the market, therefore it attracts mainly professionals, graduates and university students. We also have a great number of children in the school who either come from the local area, or their teachers or friends recommend our school to them. A high proportion of our students enrol for more than one year and the majority of new enrolments come from word-of-mouth. As the longest-established language institute in the area, the school is well-known as the place for quality instruction.

The Staff:
At the moment there are 8 native-English teachers, who are all professional dedicated members of staff and who regularly attend our in-house teacher development and refresher sessions. There is also an Italian administrator who speaks fluent English and helps with the daily running of the school.

The Reason for Selling:
Quite honestly, the school has simply grown too big for me to manage! I have a full-time job teaching at university and no longer have the time necessary to dedicate to the school.

I can stay on, by arrangement, during the transition period to make it smoother for both buyer and students.
