I have a PGDE (Primary) and a 2.1 in Linguistics (including an Honours course in Applied Linguistics). I taught English in France as part of my degree, and subsequently taught EFL to Italian students in Edinburgh for a summer.
I am considering applying for a post as an EFL teacher to International Students in Glasgow: should I take one of the intensive weekend courses first, or am I sufficiently qualified?
Do I need a TEFL qualification?

I imagine you mean applying for jobs in private language schools to teach adults. You certainly won't get much out of a weekend course with that experience, but a proper 4 week cert such as the CELTA would definitely help.
