My boyfriend and I are looking at becoming certified online as TEFL teachers. I have a 4 year degree and I am from Canada, but have no previous teaching experience. He doesn't have a degree, but has taught English in his home country of Brazil for a few years. What options are available to us for finding a job together in the same country? Does he need to have a degree to teach English?

So your boyfriend is a non-native speaker without a degree and will only have an online TEFL certificate, and you will have no teaching experience and only an online TEFL certificate? Given your tricky circumstances, have you not thought of at least doing a well known Cert like the CELTA?
