University Grad Seeking Advice

Unread postby MaurerPower » Wed Nov 24, 2010 9:42 pm

Hi everyone,
I will be graduating this summer from the University of Oregon with a degree in Journalism. I would like to go to Europe, travel around a bit, and begin teaching English in the fall. I am a native English speaker (from US), speak workable German and Estonian and am learning French. I'd like to do a bit of traveling before settling down somewhere and getting a teaching job, as I have never been to Europe on my own and want to spread my wings a bit and see the continent!

I will have a budget of approximately $7500-$8500, with very low student debt (thank you, parents). What should I do? What are the best options for me? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Sounds like you have the plan all mapped out, apart from doing a TEFL certificate such as the CELTA, which I'd suggest you do somewhere in Europe for a month as part of your travels. What did you want advice about?
