How do distance learning Masters in TEFL compare from UK

i am based in Japan but would like to do a Masters in TEFL so i can get some uni work here or in Europe etc. How do the unis in the UK compare with their distance learning TEFL qualifications?

Somehow this post got missed, but here is a late answer for anyone picking up the thread:

It depends where and how you wish to do your degree course - in Japan, or in Europe, and whether it should preferably be a distance course or a full-time campus base course. Do not confuse degree courses with TEFL certificate courses. A TEFL course such as a CELTA or a Trinity will take about four weeks on an intensive attendance course. Any course that is degree level such as a BEd or an MA TESOL is going to involve several years of study. Check out the university web sites to find courses that interest you, and at fees that you are prepared to pay, and if the courses are offered as distance study programmes, and then compare them.
