Hi,
My girlfriend and I are going to be in Japan from January to May of next year and were wondering whether teaching English as a foreign language during this (relatively short) time is feasible?
All of our research so far suggests that 1-year contracts are easier to come by.
Thanks in advance.
Conor.
Short-term positions in Japan?

One-year contracts are not just "easier"; they are the norm. Only a rare employer will offer something shorter because his school term lasts a year.
Aside from very sporadic posts (most of which require that the applicant reside in Japan), the only place I know that offers such jobs is Westgate Corporation.
Don't know if either of you meet the requirements. You didn't state your qualifications.
