Teaching English in Mexico - Anyone out there done it?

Unread post by Craig72 »

Hello,

I am thinking about taking the TEFL course at the International Teacher Training Organization (ITTO) in Guadalajara. Has anyone out there taken the course or know anything about it? Will taking this course really guarantee you employment upon completion?

Has anyone taken the TEFL course at UET in Peurto Vallerta?

Also, I would like to find out more about what it is like teaching in Mexico from anyone out there who has done it. I would like to know about the availability of teaching jobs in Mexico, the salaries and the cost of living. Can I survive in Mexico on a teaching english salary?

Any feedback, good or bad would be appreciated.

Thank you
Craig
