I couldn't find a website definition but I quickly read over the basis for his approach, and fidel may be an acronym which stands for the following:
  • Function
    Intonation
    Differentiate
    Enunciate
    Landmark
While reading through his theoretical writings I discovered that these are the major things he pointed to in terms of his silent way methodology...Hope this lends a little light, but if I am off base, it still works for describing the approach... :D
