Not that advice is ever heeded by ESl teachers but here is some more for you anyway.
English First contracts are not worth the paper they are written on and their franchise owners will make sure you understand that when they deem the time necessary.
You are a foreigner and are at the sacrificial whim of ESL schools who will manipulate and twist the laws to satisfy their own business needs.
English First has become a large system based on minimal investment needs to own and operate a franchise school.
The franchise owners rarely have any academic competence and are rarely able to provide any security in employment to foreign teachers.
They often violate signed contract agreements, manipulate government offices to attain visas and often will change agreements without representation for the 2nd party.
ALL WARNINGS GO OUT TO ALL FUTURE ESL TEACHERS WHO ARE ENTERTAINING A FUTURE CAREER WITH ENGLISH FIRST.
If being manipulate by the circumstances of the country you are in will allow you to blindly sign contracts with this company than that is on you. But one must sign with full knowledge that you are at the whim of any government office or government policies that this company can manipulate to insure that you dont fight for your regional employment rights.
teachers dont fight because we dont get rich in this industry. Don't let companies like English First manipulate this knowledge and force you into "Catch 22's" in foreign countires.
