Parts of speech

I teach English to french speaking students. I wonder if anyone knows a grammar book that deals with all parts of speech.

when i was a child, well not that young, one book i used at school is called "The First Aid to English"

it is invaluable and i have given the details to students in the past. it is cheap price-wise and full of everything from collective nouns, the sounds that animals make, common proverbs and similes, pluralisation, gender of nouns...

the list is endless. if i remember i will forward the isbn...
