Giving and grading opinions - free one-hour lesson

Unread postby davidbowesuk » 14 Aug 2013, 07:32

Hi guys,

Hope you're all well. I wanted to let you know that there is a new lesson on Teaching Truffles. As always it's free, printable and lasts for one hour. The details are below:

Lesson name: It's Controversial
Language focus: Giving and grading opinions
Lesson aim: To practice expressing strong / weak opinions as well as indifference by applying language that the students (most likely) already know. For example adverbs, modal verbs, dependent clauses etc.
Level: Upper-intermediate (could be used with higher / lower levels depending on the class)
Format: Printable worksheets and board game
Link to lesson: http://www.teachingtruffles.com/integrated_lessons.php

This lesson is fun and easy to teach. I've taught it several times and it has worked well every time. The worksheets cover about 40 minutes of the lesson and the board game the rest. It is listed as "integrated skills" on the site because students get to practice a multitude of skills such as reading, writing, speaking and grammar.

Have a look and let me know what you think.
