hi,

i recently started teaching my 80 years old grandmother English. it was her idea so she is very motivated to learn.
but i have some difficulties, can you please help with some techniques and maybe useful sites?
the most important thing for her is to learn a how to speak and understand English.

I agree. Beyond specific tactics, both Lisack and Leppert emphasize personal growth when working with adult students. While younger students are encouraged to do well on standardized tests and accustomed to being compared to their peers in this way, adult learners are challenging themselves.

Consider making personal growth in ability and skills part of the actual grade.
