SCAM ALERT: Rebecca Tang aka China ESL - Beijing

SCAM ALERT!
The CFTU has received yet another complaint about Rebecca Tang the owner of China ESL and this time we are asking the Minister of Justice and Minister of Education to revoke her license. Shas been operating for 8 years and has been accused 23 times of fraud and 7 times of extortion. This latest complaint from former teacher K.T. Cox is very consistent with past complaints received by the CFTU:

We urge every foreign teacher not have any dealings with this company/person as they have repeatedly breached dozens of contracts and then just dare their teachers to take them to court. Do not be fooled by Rebecca's smile and charm. She is listed on three different blacklists other than our own. We first learned of her in 2010 when she joined our CFTU blacklist.

Wow! I just read about 20 different links on this Rebecca woman and China ESL, and if I didn't see this warning first I would have been complately taken in by their beautiful web site. Why isn't this lady in prison. There are dozens of victims that I am sure would be glad to testify. Is she married to the Minister of Justice or what?!?!

I don't think any of you know anything about China. She gives you a good job with competitive salary especially for first teachers, comfortable accommodation and much more. Stop complaining and suck it up. There are only a few complains on the internet out of hundreds of teachers they've placed.

You have no one to blame but yourselves.

Mason, I have to believe you work for China ESL and Mrs. Rebecca Tang. What you say is absolutely false as I can find over a hundred links trashing this company going back to 2006. One or two complaints is understandable.
But a copy of her actual contract is posted online at thebeijinger.com at this link and it speaks volumes for the kind of company this is.

http://www.thebeijinger.com/forum/2013/ ... ll-rip-you

http://chinafraudpatrol.blogspot.co.uk/ ... a-esl.html

http://www.thebeijinger.com/node/1592803

According to her own contract and emails that bears the signature of the China ESL President (Rebecca Tang)...

1) They illegally tell foreigners to come work in China on an L or F visa when they know a z visa is required by law.

2) They illegally charge money for both invitation and release letters.

3) They take up to 66% of a teacher's salary

4) They never return the room deposits - ever.

5) They never pay the last paycheck when teachers resign or finish their contracts.

6) Will "blacklist" any teacher who violates their contract or makes any official complaints against them.

So Mason, go tell Rebecca you tried, but people are not as stupid as she hoped. China ESL has been blacklisted by foreign teachers as far back as 2008!
