Fun websites for adult learners?

Unread post by femkewester »

Hi,

First of all, I'll introduce myself. I am Femke, and I have been teaching EFL since 2007. I've mostly taught business English, and just started a group of well, intellectual elderly people who are interested in the English language and culture.

I would like to provide them with some interesting websites where they can do some nice exercises, but also learn something about British culture. They are intermediates, but have aspirations and are willing to learn. Their hobbies range from sports to cooking to gardening. They're very nice, but a bit of an 'elite'.

Which websites do you use? Or recommend?

Thanx very much for your help!

Best,
Femke

Check out http://www.englishclub.com which is British. Try the games and quiz sections, and maybe http://my.englishclub.com too.

Try Film English by Kieran Donaghy
http://film-english.com

It's fantastic. Short films used in a creative way to make lessons much more interesting than using the same old textbooks.
