TEFL Companies

Unread post by Sellonana »

Hi everyone! I’m pretty much decided on doing some volunteering overseas, and I’d like to do a TEFL course. Do any of you have any recommendations for companies you used, and details on why you liked them, or any ones to avoid, and again, how come? Thanks!

Hi Sellonana,
It may help to decide upon which country you wish to go to for volunteering first. Once you have narrowed that down, look into taking a course within that country if one is offered. It will give you a head start on the culture etc. Tefl international is the largest Tefl cert program (as far as I know) but they have a mixed reputation, some people are quite happy with them, I wasn't particularly impressed.
This link may answer some of your questions and help you in your decision :

Now i am taking level 2 TESOl course and really i encourage u to take this course because it is so excellent. Although i have two years experiences in teaching English in a secondary school but, i decided to take this course. i did learn so many good activities that can be applied in any classroom.for example, if you study this course, you will learn about classroom management, how to teach the four skills by using different techniques away from traditional ones, how to know your ss levels and how to write a lesson plan. recently , i enrol to this website:
http://www.global-english.com/index.html
in this website u can choose the level u want and to view the syllabus of each course.
if you wanna join this website or these courses, you have to pay. :P :D :R:
good luck

i wanna say that the websitethat i gave u is excellent and many people are quiete happy with its courses. if u jin the website after online payement, you will recieve your personal application. the website will offer a special tutor tp help u in any thing you need and to give u advice. u are gonna have 4 modules for any course u choose. after each module, you will write an assignment and your tutor will marhk it. Also u will do some exams depending on the materials u studied. The courses are quite practical. If u want to know more, visit the website and choose what u want.
