The new updated 2013 China School and Recruiter/Agent Blacklist has been updated and published online as a public service for expat foreign teachers planning to work in China. Taking ten minutes to search this list and the actual complaints that are linked to all 138 schools and 43 scam agents and fake recruiters BEFORE going on a job interview can save hours of grief later when you try to collect your paycheck or visa, and months trying to restore your stolen identity (20% of all foreign teachers in China report having their identity stolen after using recruiters - 85% of which are not licensed nor registered). Since the scam artists posing as employment agents frequently change their names and phone numbers, we have also posted their color photos online since they cannot change their faces. Although we have published the photos of the known scam agents, teachers viewing the site from within China will need a VPN service in order to see the many photos and graphics on our website. We also wish to advise that not all scam agents and fake recruiters are Chinese. Approximately 15% of the fraudsters are foreigners who hide behind the anonymity of fake teacher "forums" 27 of which are also listed at the above site.

Lastly we want to warn our colleagues that many of the dishonest schools and agents advertise on legitimate expat forums. So please do not assume that an ad is safe only because you found it on a reputable expat forum as they have no idea who is posting a free or paid ad. This is the best China blacklist I have seen so far. One of my former employers is on it and they certainly belong there!

I agree with Freddy but without a VPN you cannot see the photos of the scam agents!
