Hi,
I'm interested in taking a TEFL course. However, I currently work a full-time job so would only be available during evenings and weekends. Realistically, how long should it take to become qualified given my limited availability?
I have tried ringing my local adult education centre for more information however, it seems that there is nobody there over the summer.
Also, I have read that a degree is required / substantially increases your chances of gaining a job. Is this simply to prove that you have been educated so a certain level or are employers looking for degrees in specific subjects? I do have a degree but I do not believe it is particularly relevant to teaching English.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Training whilst working full-time?
A standard 120 hour TEFL course like the CELTA takes 3 months part time, but it is very difficult to find courses. Better to save up for 3 months and take a full time one, generally.
Any degree is fine.
