Online Job Interviews

I recently received my TEFL certification(May 2011), but I don't have the money to travel for job interviews. I was wondering if many new teachers do job interviews on the internet or by telephone? And do most schools pay for travel costs?

Yes, many schools will do phone or skype interviews.
Others will only do face to face ones but no, they don't pay for your travel costs.
That's in my personal experience anyway.

I'd second that. If you live in an English speaking country, you might also find that the big recruiters (e.g. JET scheme in Japan and big chains in China) set up a day of interviews near your city.

On the topic of money, do you have enough to live for the first month when you get your job and to fly home if you don't like it??
