Teaching someone who has never learnt english

Unread postby margyf » 06 Oct 2007, 14:14

Hi

[color=darkblue]I was wondering if anyone knew of good webistes and books and learning material to buy.

I am looking at teaching a older polish lady who has never had any english lessons.

I want to be able to teach the fundamentals but I dont want to confuse her too much if this makes sense.

Look forward to hearing from you

Try using a search engine such as Google. You will be looking for textbooks for adult 'absolute beginners'.
You are sure to find what you need once you locate the websites of the major publishers such as Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press and Longman. You are welcome to ask this forum for more advice once you have narrowed down your choice of textbooks.
I offer any information or advice 'as is' and hope that it has been of help. I am not an admin of this board, and my postings do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the board management.
