Hi guys.
Slightly different scenario as I'm not tutoring a foreign language speaker, but a ten-year-old English speaking boy who's a bit lazy. I was wondering if anyone could offer any tips that might actually make the information I'm giving him stick.
We did a bit of reading comprehension today and while we managed to get through it, I'm pretty sure he's just gonna forget it all. At the end of the session, we did some spelling with 'ies' and I set him some words to remember for homework.
Ultimately, however, his mum wants him to improve his hand-writing (which is no problem) and also, go through non-verbal and verbal reasoning with him. Now I can teach, but I have no idea how to make it stick.
Any suggestions?
