using readers

Dear Omar,
you can start readers by the second semester for biginners.just make sure you chose the right level.once in class give pupils the readers.Ask them to have a look at the cover which normally contains a picture and the title.this cover is your wam up or introduction to the reading.it is also possible to introduce new vocabulary just to make pupils familiar with the book they are having such as author/writer....help also pupils to guess the story they are going to read.that first step shouldn't go beyond ten minutes.Then pupils begin reading only the first chapter or part within a time limit .pupils stop reading and discuss their guessing and discover to what extent they were right.then you can ask them general comprehension questions.After the answers pupils go back to reading if time permits or finish reading home. It would be better to ask pupils
to keep a list of the new vocabulary and bring to class a sort of summary you will correct delightfully or make a peer editing
and some examples are read out to the whole class.
I hope Iwas of some help!
