Can anybody help me choose a good coursebook for beginners? I've been looking at Grapevine and Headway but don't really know what to choose.

I'd be grateful for any help

thanks

Hello,
I think that a good general beginner book is the New Headway beginner. It is very basic and covers everything for the real beginner. I use it for my adult lessons and they seem to be pleased with the method.

I have found that the topics in Upstream by Express Pub have been more 'in tune' for adults, where as Headway has worked better with older teenagers.

Have you looked at Face 2 Face?

I don't know what the beginner book is like but the intermediate book is brilliant.
