Please confirm which one of the following
sentence is correct.
1. They think asking for help.
2. They think to ask for help.

Neither is correct as sentences on their own.
The correct versions are best explained in context (note the uses of the prepositions for and about):

They think asking for help may cause them to lose face. :R:

They think about asking for help only after having made several unsuccessful attempts.. :R:

Could also be:
They are thinking of asking for help.

Yes - if it is a clear case for the present continuous.
